Just a few additions for visibility

Wanted to be a tad more visible and also have more light at night when riding. So, pick up a few things here and there and get to work. All the wiring is temp right now until I can fabricate all the brackets I need. The LED's are white but just look blue in the pics.

Next step is to wash it.

I thought it was illegal to drive/ride with "show" lights.

IIRC from past threads, lights could be added under tanks, by fenders, under the engine etc. as long as the lights themselves could not be seen from any angle......course I could be wrong.

That's what I've read in the publications from The State, can have them but the light itself can't be visible.

Re: Just a few additions for visibility

It's ok in most states but in others it will get you a massive ticket. Virginia and NC being the two I know of for sure.

Looks nice, I always wanted to do blue on the engine compartment on my Warrior.

Me, I just want a targeting laser on my helmet, ala The Borg. When that little *** cuts me off, switch on and scanning for target acquisition. Maybe they'll think twice after that.

Re: Just a few additions for visibility

I've heard stories told about people doing that? Frankly I think the tales of people washing a bike were made up by the water companies to sell more product. Besides if people really did things like that, [sic] wouldn't we have seen proof of it by now?

Laser sighting, that would be cool at night. They couldn't tell and they could care less in the rush hour.

This thread made me think of another article on some DIY LED lights.
Linky

He installed them as supplemental driving lights. I don't think anyone here would call them illegal. Now, if someone mounts white or amber "show lights" visible from the front to aid in visibility, what makes them illegal? Where is the line between driving lights and show lights?
