Stephenville riders

Looking for riders in Erath and surrounding counties who might be interested in meeting up to ride or have a meet and greet type dinner one evening a month in the Stephenville/tri-county area.

Reply here or pm me if you would be interested in starting a new group in this area.

I haven't gotten my first bike yet (MSF course is finished, but still shopping before I pull the trigger), but I'll be attending Tarleton State in the Fall, so will be riding to and from Stephenville pretty often once school starts up.

I'd certainly be interested in at least stopping in at a dinner and saying howdy, some time!

I assume you are considering Hood County in the "Tri-County," no? I was at Hard 8 last night. Great place! Go there at least once a month... Sometimes fly, sometimes by ground transportation...

Was thinking of having a M&G maybe here in Acton (Sonic because of available parking there and on each side in the evenings) to see what interest there is in having something like you propose, so since you fired the first shot, pick a place and post it here or PM me.

Personally, I'd like to have some type activity in the boonies, to avoid the Metro-Mess traffic especially at night...

Yeah I'm trying to see if I can get something started here. I agree, I pretty much avoid the metro-mess as well. As far as Hood goes, you bet anyone everyone we could get. I've been meeting up with the Johnson County group 3rd Thursday of the month as they are about the closest to me. You might look into that as well why we try to see what we can get going here.

Sorry I've been slow to get back to this but I've been snowed under. I've been trying to figure out how to best fit this in with my schedule and some others as well.

Ok how's this, 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of the month. That will be opposite of the fine folks in Johnson County who meet on the third Thursday. That way we won't compete with them for folks and may draw some from in between here and there as well as allow some of us to go join them too.

The first Thursday in July is July 1st. That's just before the holiday weekend and may help or hinder some from coming, but we'll see how it works out.

The first stop for Stephenville Riders will be The Hard Eight BBQ in Stephenville. Several of the folks both on this thread and last month's Johnson County group mentioned it, so that will be a good start for us. We'll take suggestions from there for anywhere in the area. The Hard 8 is located at the junction of US 281 & US 67 on the south side of Stephenville.

All are welcome, Y'all come! Let's ride! Let's eat!

Skies opened up just south of here... Oh well... Looked on radar like Stephenville was gonna get it...

Next month the 1st Thursday is on the 5th. We are gonna be out of town until around Monday or Tuesday, so maybe I can make that one.

Pick a time and place, and I will try and make it...

I am not in one of the counties you listed but we ride all overyour counties as well as Bosque,Coryell, Hamilton...here is link to our thread...

Some of us ride only street...I ride a GSA so I know few bounds...thinking of buying BMW R1200RT for dedicated street...

Also we are having an Adventure rally in Hamilton...again both street and dualsport routes

The ride in was dry, It poured while we were eating though. But it was all over and the roads were about dry by the time we were through BS'n.

Not much of a turnout, 2 bikes, 5 people. I guess we'll try it again next month and maybe the weather will be more cooperative.
