Two Stroke racing fans

I saw that these guys were trying to put a 250 two stroke into the top 40 in the 450 moto-x nationals this year and being a two stroke fan myself I said they have my support. Mike Leavitt is a rider capable of doing just that. He is a very fast privateer and could use all the support us two stroke fans can give him and his team. With a limited budget, they have made only two races and have had a few problems along the way but have two races left that they can make.

August 28 – Moto-X 338 Southwick, Mass
September 4 – Steel City Raceway Delmont, PA

Project Two 50

Project Two 50 is a collaborative effort aimed at placing a 250 two stroke within the AMA Outdoor National series. Currently AMA rules state that a 250cc two-stroke must race against the 450 four-strokes in the Pro Class.

We are dedicated to this effort and can’t wait to show just how effective the two stroke platform of engine can be. As a team we are also emphatically dedicated to developing the highest level of machinery using the latest technology and developments from all forms of motor sports.

Project Two 50 aims at informing consumers that there IS an option when purchasing a bike and an incredible option at that!

The people who make up Project Two 50 are what make it so special, and we can’t wait to meet the fans, shake hands, and have an all around great time!

Prepare to duck the roost, experience the sound, and taste the smell of the best 250 two stroke the AMA nationals has ever seen!

If you would like to Help Support Project Two 50

I feel that the increased cost of racing a 4-stroke over a two stroke has pushed many away from getting and staying into the sport. If you would like to see the return of 2-stroke racing as I do then please pass this on to others.

By the way you can watch all of the first motos of all the outdoor nationals live stream on allisports. (250 and 450)

Re: Two Stroke racing fans

Easy, just unbend the unfair rule and cap four-stroke displacement at 350cc against 250cc two-strokes.

Knew a tough guy in mid 80's in Fort Worth. He was just running down the the store and had a low speed crash turning onto Seminary drive from a stop sign. Last time I saw him he was wearing a diaper and they were trying to teach him to talk again. I think about that guy every time I sit on a bike without a helmet. -- Meriden

You may be right if the AMA does put a CAP ON THE 4-STROKES at 350cc's. That could make some folks turn to 2 strokes, but keep in mind that the 250 2 strokes have not had any technology put into them as had the 4 strokes. Fuel injection alone may put them ahead to head with the 450's with a 15-20 lb lighter bike. The electronics are fast enough now for 2-strokes. I myself would like to see a 250 2 stroke spank the 450's.

But maybe that’s just me?
