Photo Assignment - #47: THE SKY'S THE LIMIT (Entry) - Due January 17, 2011

For this contest the theme is THE SKY'S THE LIMIT. I just love the wispy clouds that seem to always decorate the Texas skies this time of year. They make even the most ordinary shot dramatic. Be creative and post your ONE best photo.

Have fun with this, camera phones, p&s or dslr's, or even film.... all shooters are welcome.

Your photograph has to have been taken between now and midnight, January 17, 2011.

Please refrain from commenting on photographs (yours and others) in this thread until after the winner has been selected. Any comments posted prior to the announcement of a winner will be deleted.

Photographs should stand on their own for your interpretation of THE SKY'S THE LIMIT, paying close attention to composition and technique.

You may post only one entry, but you may change it any time until midnight, January 17, 2011.

Dramatic skies! I them love all!

Voni - Which bike to take when the skies are ominous . . .

SheNadya - I'm impressed with the angle of your shot. And the variations in sky color. Intrigues me about the rest of the story your photo illustrates.

dwadams - Love how your sky fades to the pinks at the bottom - and such sharp contrast with the tree! Drama.

PGlaves - Gorgeous blue and white - How did you catch that fast moving plane so clearly?

Dixondude - I love the sharp contrast in every part of your photo of flying above the clouds

Jeepinbanditrider - a crisp clear night waits for another adventure. You captured beautifully the moon and stars - not an easy feat! And extra points for the motorcycle.

I really enjoyed looking at all the pictures that were posted. They were all great. There are some fairly good photographers on this website so I am honored that mine was picked. Looking forward to the months ahead I hope to learn more about what makes a good photograph from the folks on here.
