New update:

Quote:
I saw Aaron last night for a little while. I can not tell you how much progress he has made in the last week. His jaw is unwired and he can speak with only a little difficulty. He is still a little hard to understand. The tracheotomy has been removed and it should be closed in the next couple of days. He has to think a little to answer questions and his memory is still sluggish, but may also be the pain medications.

He was talking about hunting and guns yesterday. He even had a little "sass" in him. His goal for the day was taking 3 steps, but unfortunately he was not able to attempt it due to other issues. He seems to be moving all parts of his body now. A secondary check of x-rays and the MRI showed a broken clavicle and torn rotator cuff on the left side, which explains the reluctance to move it.

He also asked me to bring him some hunting and fishing magazines and has read everything he can find at the hospital, although it was not much. He said it helps keep his mind off the pain.

It is truly amazing how far God has brought him. Please keep the prayers coming.
Pretty amazing given his condition when they got him to the hospital!

Re: Please pray for Aaron Bryant - Bad Accident

Update:

Quote:
Over 8 months have passed since the day Aaron had his motorcycle wreck. Many prayers have been offered. A day rarely goes by when I don't think of Aaron and wonder how he is doing and what might have been if he had just worn a helmet or had made better choices that evening.

I was totally floored when I got a phone call yesterday. It was the man himself. Aaron called me and we had a great conversation for the first time since the accident. His short term memory is still not all there, but it has improved remarkably. He is in assisted living and is still improving daily. The doctors had told me that where he was at 6 months would be where he would remain the rest of his life. It goes to show that God's opinion always trumps the doctors.

Aaron is still in a lot of pain and may never be able to work as before, but he is still striving for that. He is totally blind in one eye and his shoulder will probably need several more surgeries, but he is thankful to be alive and wanted me to express his appreciation for all the prayers. He is quite sure that they are all that has brought him back to where he is today. Praise God.
