Sold - Hi-Point 995TS 9mm carbine

Bought a couple years ago. Put about 200 rnds through and just would rather have something else. Fun to shoot and 9mm is still on the cheap side. Paid $275 new for it. Would like $245.

This is the newer model.

Yeah I want it too but August is not fund friendly right now. If I get the funds I'm fine with travel. But to try and help I'm "taking" this to work tomorrow.

A friend on mine (vincois on the forum here), has one and that thing is a freakin tack driver. Sure it isn't some highly polished, refined, and expensive toy; but at 50ft it was putting rounds through the same hole in the paper.

If grasshopper decides not to go ahead with it, I am interested and would need to have it shipped as well.

Yes I have the paper. Only 3 people have been killed by it. When ai said Id travel, I just meant an hour or so. Abilene is about the farthest Ill go east. Ill go farther but Ill need gas money because its not really worth it for me to use up half a day or so on this item.

If I ship it then its going through an FFL because I do not want to deal with shipping myself. The cost will be on you.

$215 is a true steal for that rifle. Not a "sexy" name but a great rifle. Kinda like an xr4, underated and will work perfectly for years.

Re: Hi-Point 995TS 9mm carbine

Call me wen you get a chance. I spoke with my FFL guy and it's $35 for transfer. I just need to find out what the shipping charges would be from Lubbock to spring tx. 77373. Would you be shipping from your house or from another FFl. The guy said you could ship it yourself with copied of ID and a note sati it's to me. It would go straight to FFl

Re: Hi-Point 995TS 9mm carbine

You do NOT need to go through a FFL when shipping in-state. They are only required for sales outside of the state. Texas allows its citizens to ship rifles to each other without having to go through a FFL.

For the Federal law on this, see #3 below:

http://www.atf.gov/firearms/industry...top-10-qas.pdf

Quote:
3. May I lawfully transfer a firearm to a resident of the same State in which I reside?

Any person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of the State where he resides as long as he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. There may be State laws that regulate interstate firearm transactions. Any person considering acquiring a firearm should contact his or her State Attorney General’s Office to inquire about the laws and possible State or local restrictions. A list of State Attorney General contact numbers may be found at www.naag.org.
More Federal info on unlicensed persons selling/shipping firearms can be found here: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html

There is no prohibition on selling/shipping a firearm within Texas under the state's Penal Code Section 46.06, just if you intentionally or knowingly do so to someone who is not legally able to purchase it.

So you can directly ship a long gun inside the state of Texas to another resident via the Postal Service or other carriers such as FEDEX or UPS.

You can NOT ship a handgun through the US Postal Service at all. UPS or FedEx will do so, but they require that you to ship overnight which is generally very expensive.

Bottom line: Don't waste your money going through a FFL unless required. About the only time it's worth doing is if you find one that will do it cheaper than the other carriers (which occasionally happens but not often).

Cheers! M2
