Picked up my new ride today!

2012 ZX14R

Traded in a 2007 M109R for it. This is my first sports bike. I was nervous about making the transition at first, mainly because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to be comfortable on a sports bike. I'm 6'6", 275 lbs. It's hard to get comfortable on things like motorcycles... and chairs... and small spaces...

But within 3 minutes of leaving the dealership, I knew I made a PERFECT decision. The ZX is SUPER comfortable for my gorilla-self and the handling of a sports bike versus a cruiser makes for a really enjoyable ride. I'm in love!

Funny you say that, the Suzuki DL650 very may be my next acquisition. It'll have to wait until next year though.

it may sound odd saying this, but I'm really liking the Kawasaki blue. Very nice bike!

I am betting it is really the zer0 to light speed that makes it so much more than a cruiser ride. Make mine green please.

How is that pop-a-wheely handle working?

It's crazy fast yes, but I'm breaking it in very slowly. And I have no plans to wheely it anytime soon... but plans change.

I have a 11' ninja 1000 and 11' dl650 , and love them both,,,, The wife usualy rides the 1000 though

Congrats,
As you can see from my unchanged avatar and pic below, I owned a similar one for 3 years.
I rode it 24000 miles in 3 years and it was one of the most enjoyable bikes I have owned. They are very comfy for a sportbike, I miss mine badly. Enjoy
