Evadale Ride

The weather cleared and specialkb83 and I met at the Evadale post office and went for a 160 mile DS ride yesterday. Rode through several small SETEX communities such as Mount Union, Magnolia Springs, Roganville, Fawil, Biloxi and Trout Creek. The roads were in good shape considering all the rain we received this past week. In fact I have come to the conclusion after riding this route that Jasper and Newton counties must be the wealthies counties in SETEX because most of the roads were either black top or blue rock. The dirt roads we did find were packed sand but very rutty. Did not take a lot of pics but here are a couple of Kenny and his fast white (white is the fastest right) DRZ. talking to some kids jumping off Big Cow Creek bridge and one of him making a flooded road crossing.

I know ride a lot in Hardin, Polk and Tyler. Most of the roads in those counties are dirt. If you are in Woodville we need to meet and ride one day.

There are miles of dirt roads in East Tx. When I was a kid my family had a camp on the Neches river across from Barlow Lake Estates, south of the Dam B. We went in thru Mount Union and Magnolia Springs.

Did you ever get a bike? I seem to remember you telling me you were familiar with the back roads. Lets ride!

I had a great time riding , It was my first "DS trip" . I hope to go again soon .

Fred to be more precise silsvee
No bike yet hellwig,the 250L should be avalible in august.Have the quads to ride and run the local dirts roads,which are in great shape with the rains of recent.
