New member with question

Hey everyone I'm new to this site but not new to riding. I've owned four bikes including a bandit and an SV. MY question to all of you is I have my eye on a 2007 suzuki bandit "Street Fighter" (transferred from UK) in fantastic condition. It has 6K miles and he is asking $5500. I know it is a little on the steep side but do you think I am getting totally ripped off?

Got any pictures of it? I'm sure the bandit faithful will be along shortly.

Re: New member with question

Not sure on the bandit, but book value on my 08 GSX650F is around $5000 last time I looked.

Best advice would be to look a a site like Kelly Blue Book to at least get an idea of what they are worth private party.

The wild card is the fact it was imported from Europe and that could potentially make it worth more I guess.

Could just as easily make it worth less...

What is so special about this particular bike versus one that has not been imported?

Here is a pic of the bike. The actual bike hasn't been imported just the streetfighter conversion kit.

Re: New member with question

to TWT!

If I'm reading the listing correctly, it's just the streetfighter conversion kit that was imported from the UK. Well, if the owner is using proper English, anyway. I'm not sure what the kit does (not a Bandit guy).

Grab the VIN and hit a dealer. They'll tell you all about it. IF it's imported (which I think is in question) and IF it's significantly different from American spec bikes, getting parts for it may prove difficult.

No the actual bike is not imported from overseas it is only the street fighter conversion kit which is very rare and expensive.

Re: New member with question

Welcome to the forum. Have you looked into the price difference in buying a similarly non-UK version and pricing the fairing yourself?

When I had an 07 FZ1 I bought it w/o the full fairing kit and bought a barely used kit online for cheap, would the same be possible for your bike??
