Re: Pie run VIII: River City grille, Marble Falls
OK folks, this place does not normally have pie but I have arranged to have some pie brought in from the place across the road, but we need to get folks signed up before the day before and what kind of pie you like because they will get plenty pies to cover how many people we have but not a wide selection of pies. we need to narrow it down to a couple different pies.
they do have a assortment of other deserts they do have including something called "Paul's pie"

Probable. I will be escorting Rusty and Camilo.
Real Key Lime Pie if possible please. No, real Key Lime pie is made from actual Key Limes and not lemon juice. The custard portion should a very light yellow. ...might thrown in a Three Sisters ride afterwards if there is time. RB --- From the Gospel according to Wiki Key lime pie is an American dessert made of key lime juice, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk in a pie crust. The traditional Conch version uses the egg whites to make a meringue topping. The dish is named after the small key limes (Citrus aurantifolia 'Swingle') that are naturalized throughout the Florida Keys. While their thorns make them less tractable, and their thin yellow rind more perishable, key limes are more tart and aromatic than the common Persian limes seen year round in most U.S. grocery stores. Key lime juice, unlike regular lime juice, is a pale yellow. The filling in key lime pie is also yellow, largely due to the egg yolks. |
