Former Lurker in Austin
Ok, been a lurker for some time now, and should do the standard introduction. Been in Austin the last 20 years, and ridden bikes all my life (grandfather was a dealer - new bike every year in the late 60's and through the 70's!). I do both road and adventure rides, as well as the usual commuting. Bikes are in my blood, so I'm at home here. Great forum!

Welcome to TWT. Did you spend any time in the dealership business? Of course I'm curious if your family managed to hang onto any of the bikes through those years. If your grandfather carried Honda in those times, I bet he had a wild ride.

Perhaps you could join us for the Billy's get together on Thursday. http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39903 I won't be there for a few weeks due to a trip to the Rockies. But you will will be welcomed by all who attend. There will be a pie run in Marble Falls on the 25th. I will miss it too. (I was looking forward to this one all year.)  But perhaps the altitude will make me forget it.  But there is two get togethers that I think you will enjoy.  Sam
