Exclamation Please pray for my Dad - in the ER

Howdy,

Got a call while getting ready for work. Mom had to take Dad to the ER. He was complaining of intense pain in chest/ribs. No other info right now. He's 73 and in pretty good health. Has had regular heart check ups and got a small stent back around the beginning of the year for an artery that was kinked, not obstructed by blockage. At that time they checked out all the other arteries and said they all looked good and clean. So I am hoping this is something else. Still... Please pray that it is nothing serious and also for Mom. If anything happens to him, she is left trying to care for my special needs nephew without Dad. So I am sure she is under a LOT of stress right now.

Will update when I get some new info.

Prayed and will continue too. Hope your kiddos aren't too worried. I know you all spend a lot of time together as a family. I'm sure you'll get them praying too. From reading other posts you've got them started on the path of being prayer warriors.

They have ruled out heart issues. Suspect colon issues. Will be keeping him overnight and probably doing a colonoscopy in the morning. So that means they don't think there is anything immediately life threatening.

Yeah, I went down that road back in 1999. Late night visit to ER. When I woke up they informed me they had removed it.

Looks like inflamed pancreas. Not sure what causes it. They are keeping him overnight and NO food for 24 hours, then reevaluate and go from there.
