2012 Texas Honor Ride and Fundraiser - Conroe
The Texas Honor Ride is scheduled for September 22, 2012. Come join the "The Ride To Nowhere", a police escorted ride thru Sam Houston National Forest. I have never been much for large group rides for the same reason most of you probably are against them but this one is different and well conducted. If you don't want to ride, swing by and take a ride on a Huey with a Vietnam Vet helicopter pilot at the controls, get your photo taken with an Apache Attack Helicopter, have you bike's photo taken with the Apache, buy a few items from the live and/or silent auctions, enjoy a good BBQ lunch. All proceeds go to the Warrior and Family Support Center at BAMC where the staff and counselors administer the funds. (THR is 100% volunteer!).

Our Mission: "To honor, directly help and improve the quality of life of wounded warriors and their families who are recovering at the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, Texas." Over the past six years The Texas Honor Ride, a 501(c)3 charity, has raised over $640,000 for our Wounded Warriors at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio. All funds raised go to the Warrior and Family Support Center at BAMC where the staff and counselors administer the funds. (THR is 100% volunteer!) All donations are tax deductible. In addition to our THR merchandise, when invited, we attend other rallies, club meetings and events, like the Texas Open Chili Championship, the Oldest Town in Texas Rally, the Lone Star Rally... We organize three Texas Honor Ride fundraising events. Our Spring Texas Honor Ride Fun Run, our September Texas Honor Ride Fundraiser and Ride and The Texas Honor Ride in November.

Come on out folks, this Saturday. You don't have to go on the ride. It's all for the support of Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, and our wounded veterans. Car/bike show, Silent auction, even take a ride on a Huey. You'll be glad you did!

I'll meet y'all at Chick-fil-A. How much cash should I bring for this? you mentioned the Huey ride, photographs, etc. Not like I have a lot of extra, but I can part with some for THIS cause!

The ride is a $25.00 donation, which includes lunch. Huey ride $100.00. Silent auction also. Tshirts and all sorts of goodies. Just bring you paycheck, and you can treat us all. Glad your going!!!!

I posted this on my FB wall. Hopefully I can come up with some more riders. Most of my BACA brothers will be at our annual "adult campout", but I think I have a few staying home. Fingers crossed!
