Friday ride @ Rio

I'm planning on going out to Rio for a few hours about 12:00 or 1:00 if anyone wants to go. I'm not fast or good, just going out to have fun.
I'll be in a Silver Tundra with orange bike.

I didn't put a date in the title, because I hope to be posting up Friday rides frequently

Where's Rio? I'm doing nights this week so maybe the planets might align.

Re: Friday ride @ Rio

I went out yesterday after work to get in a few laps. Well that's all I got. Had a rear flat during my 1st ride. Got in 5 fun laps loaded up & went home.
I'm going to try to make Friday but will have to jump through hoops to get there. I will have to put in a regular work day today, go to League City & pick up suspension @ EBR for our new 450, attend grand daughter's volleyball game, go home fix my flat. Work 1/2 day tomorrow, go home load up & then head out to Rio......All sounds worth it to me right now since my ride was cut short yesterday. Hope to see you there, I'm probably about 50 / 50.

How is your experience with EBR? I ride offroad only, they good at that? Thanks.

Re: Friday ride @ Rio

Over the years we have dealt with many different companies like EBR. They are probably the best we have ever used. Very professional, listen to
feedback for any changes wanted, & always have a good starting point.
They are also open on Saturday's & I have decided to go then to pick up suspension which puts me up to the 75% range of riding Friday @ Rio. I just have to get a new tube put in this afternoon without pinching it. That used to be easy for me but the older I get & I don't do it as often as I used to, I have pinched my share in the last couple of years. I would say I will take my time but I will be rushing inorder to get to a grand daughter's volleyball game today @ 6:00.

Re: Friday ride @ Rio

You should go so I have someone to chase. It always helps me to follow someone better than me and try and keep up for a few turns.
I'll be dusting off some MAJOR cobwebs so no laughing please
I'm going to sign up for the membership thing and plan on riding next Friday too

Re: Friday ride @ Rio

After riding there weekly April, May & June, yesterday was my first ride there in 3 months. I felt very off in the turns, & after realizing I was on a flat blamed it on that. Oh by the way they had the section leading up to the big step up we were jumping at roped off so be aware your first lap going into the right hander before. I should make it out but it will be around 1:30 - 2 ish.

Great riding out today!! The weather and track were both great!
It's been a few months and man I was rusty, but I started feeling more comfortable out there a the day went on. I gotta tell you though, I'm whooped.

I recorded a few laps with the gopro. I'll post em up if you guys promise not to laugh

Re: Friday ride @ Rio

Excellent ride. I had more fun than should be legal. You'd think that after as long as I've been riding I would not feel like this when I get on a bike. I love riding & really like hanging out with a great group like we had Friday. Hope to do it again this week.

Definitely well said.

My legs are sore! but it's a good sore.

I'll be there this Friday. I'm going to try and get there earlier, 11:00ish so I can get on the road before traffic gets bad for the trip home.

Re: Friday ride @ Rio

Is Friday an "open" ride day for non members. I can't make heads or tails of their website. Thanks.

Yes. The first time I rode there was on a Friday and I wasn't a member then and one of the guys riding with us this past Friday wasn't a member. I started my membership this past Friday.

But yeah, their website is confusing.

Honestly I think any day they're open "non-members" can ride. You just pay the higher price.
