Atheist in a Foxhole

I am an unabashed atheist, and so is my wife.

My wife Suzanne is facing the some of the worst medical diagnosis imaginable.

Please think of her and I in the best possible light, however that presents itself to you.

All positive thoughts accepted.

Thank you.

I will pray for both of you. She needs the obvious prayers and thoughts, and you will need strength for both of you.

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole

Joel, I, my wife, son, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are all atheists as well. From prior experience with my wife on a false alarm, we know how terrible this kind of news can be for all the family, especially the younger ones. Our thoughts are with you and your entire family, you have my number, use it as needed.

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole

Think good thoughts and be positive and strong. We're all on this little planet together, brother.

As a side light, atheism aside, the power of prayers is proven, regardless of your background. Not a comment, just a philosophy.

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole

I once questioned God. I never considered myself an Atheist, more Agnostic. I'd never seen or heard from God or received his guidance. I just could never rationalize that the wonders of this world and this universe could exist without a reason or a creator. I'd been brought up a Methodist, but you don't think about such things as a kid, or I didn't.

Then one day I needed God, I got down on my knees, and he made his presence known. I found the Lord and his Son guiding me. I'm now a Christian. I don't regret my life, but do regret it took such events to bring me to Jesus. It does seem to be his way, however.

I will pray for both you and your wife whether you listen to Him OR me.

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole

VFRRider,- That's why I posted such a private, personal matter. I have no idea where this journey will take us, and we need all the help we can get. I may not believe, but if you do, I'll take it.

Thank you all, and keep it coming.
