88 Honda NX650
Original condition, no mods. One SR owner until I got it from him about 1.5 years ago. He is a long time friend who used it for commuting to school as a teacher. He is a bowhunter and also threw his deer over the rear fender to bring home. He hunted just a couple miles from his home on Toledo Bend near Hemphill. 7256 miles of which I have put 38. He is 70, got nervous about riding and I am also. Just don't want to drop it and damage anything. I still ride dirt and DS but do not like being around cars and cement. Bike is very excellent and this engine is not even broke in yet if you know anything about the 650. I put new K&N filter and battery within the last two months. Have oem manual, service manual and original purchase receipt. Tires and tubes are the only thing not original on the bike. Tires 95% and tubes new just before I got it. Only issue is the blinkers, none work, I know as much about electricty as I do brain surgery or astro physics. With working blinkers I would not hesitate to ride the bike anywhere. It has been in covered garage all its life and never has suffered from being exposed to anything other than a Honda as a sleeping partner. No penicillin needed. I have a friend who is going to post photos for me. I am in deep SE Texas. The price is $2200. Firm. Period.

Re: 88 Honda NX650
Yes sir. Bike has been titled in Texas since new and I have it and all nec papers signed by my buddy. I never changed into my name due to deciding to not use it as intended. Just been sitting in my shop all lonesome for the open road. P S, it does have the passenger pegs, they are in a box with the manuals, etc.

Possible trade for a clean, small aluminum bass boat.

Possible trade for a clean, small aluminum bass boat. Age doesn't matter, condition does.

I've never even seen one of those before. That is cool! Is it a twin-cyl?

Drool. Saw this on craigslist the other day. I have been bitten by the dirt bug recently. Much to my wife's dismay!

Re: 88 Honda NX650
Single, exact engine that is currently in the XR650L. Thats what makes it desirable, parts are zero problem. Also, those scrapes on the left side are just that. No real damage, any competent painter could fix that very easily. Would not even disturb the decal.

I am almost certain the NX has a different 2nd gear and I think maybe a different 5th gear. 2nd gear is closer to 1st gear with the noticable gap between 1st and 2nd on the XR650L. Not real sure on the 5th gear, it might be a little better on the highway. There is a mod that has been discussed on ADVrider about changing out 2nd and 5th gears on the XR650L for the NX650 gears. I can't remember who exactly on TWT was in that discussion. I am sure someone can verify this.

Thanks, I knew someone would chime in. Is the NX 5th gear different than the XR650L 5th gear?
