Dear Friends of Tucson Dual Sport,

Tucson Dual Sport’s annual event is called the "2 Sun Adventure" and this year we are celebrating our 100th anniversary!!! *

Early registration ends on January 22nd! This is $100 cheaper than paying at the door! T-shirts are only $5 when added to your registration application.

2 Sun Adventure will stage in a remote area near Arivaca, Arizona, southwest of Tucson. Most people will choose to camp there near the food and the nightly campfire. Camping away from rest of the public is a great way to get away from it all and enjoy the company of fellow dirt bikers.

Rex Dalton is our bona fide cowboy friend, and he will once again be providing breakfast each morning and the banquet Saturday night. His two sons will be joining him to cook from his 100-year-old chuck wagon. Great food, inneresting conversation, and just good old-fashioned fun.

This event is a non-competitive, self-guided tour. There are plenty of roads through the Sonoran Desert where you’ll see Saguaro cactus, Ocotillos, Prickly Pear, Yucca plants, mesquite trees, and sech. The picturesque mountains in this area are up to 8,000 feet.

This is a dual sport event so all motorcycles must be street legal, licensed, and insured. All riders must have a valid motorcycle driver’s license.

This is an AMA sanctioned event. AMA membership is highly recommended since they are our number one advocate for motorcycle rights. However, AMA membership is not a requirement.

Come on down and enjoy the great weather and scenery!

Yer Partners,
Chris Dodds & Art McCorkill

LODGING
We are staging from a remote ranch. The camping fees will go to the owner for payment of using his property and providing porta potties. Camping fees are as follows: Tents and trucks $8/ night, RVs $15/night. There are no hook ups.

There is a hotel available 12 miles away in Amado. Some AirBnB are available 24 miles away in Arivaca or Tubac. Your best bet is camping out at the staging area.

GPS of recommended routes will be provided via email the week before the event. It is pretty easy to join up with a group of riders if you don’t use GPS.

* 100 years? Are you serious? No, but it sounds pretty incredible, and it did catch your attention :) We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary though. And Rex’s chuckwagon is actually 100 years old.

I couldn't find anything about the actual riding during this event----???. Length, type of riding, you know, the particulars.
