Two Wheeled Texans Usergroups
Registered Users
 The standard usergroup for members of the TWT community is the Registered User. This is someone that has completed the registration process and successfully activated their account. This is the default account for ALL users. Users may be members of other usergroups that have additional features/benefits, but here are the default features:
- Max of 50 saved Private Messages, Max of one recipient per message
- No custom user title under your username
- Profile image size 200 X 200 at 65Kb
- May use the attachment feature in posts
Unless otherwise stated for other usergroups, the following apply to ALL Registered Users
- May NOT make any posts of a commerical nature offering products or services
- May NOT use their username to identify a business, ie; "Insurance Man," "Repair Guy," etc,...
- May NOT include a link in their signature to any commercial/business websites
- Avatar must NOT be related to promotion of a business
Forum Supporter
Members that donate to TWT are made members of the Forum Supporter group. These are PRIVATE individuals that may not advertise products or services on TWT. They still have all the features and benefits of the Registered Users group, but they also get a few additional featues and benefits:
- Max of 1000 saved Private Messages, Max of 10 recipients per message
- Custom user title under your username
- Profile image size 300 x 300 at 100Kb
- May use the attachment feature in posts and also upload larger images into the TWT Photo Gallery where they can then be linked to in your posts.
- Access to the Forum Supporter Discussion area
Forum Supporter status is set in one month intervals. Users may chose to do a one time monthly donation, a recurring monthly donation, or pay for one year. They may also donate custom amounts for custom terms. At the expiration of their monthly term, suspension of their recurring monthly terms, or the end of their year, they will automatically revert to a normal Registered User. Any photos hosted in the TWT Photo Gallery will remain but the user will not have editorial access to them. All other privileges will revert to those of the Registered User. Forum Supporter status can be resumed at any time by making a new donation.
TWT Banner Advertiser
The TWT Banner Advertiser usergroup consists of users that have paid to display banner ads on the forum. They have all the same attributes of normal Registered Users. Just like the Registered Users usergroup, they are NOT allowed to make any posts of a commercial nature. If they wish to post commerical content, they must also become a TWT Site Sponsor. If any other user sees activity by a TWT Banner Advertiser that they feel is inappropriate, they should contact the TWT site admin (Tourmeister) to report it. TWT Advertiser status in on a monthly term just like the Forum Supporter status. Members wishing to be Sponsors should go here and select the duration of advertising term they wish to use.
Restrictions on TWT Banner Advertisers
- May post a link to their website in their profile but NOT in their signature
- Avatar must NOT be related to their business
- May NOT make any commerical/business related posts in ANY forums
- May NOT make unsolicited contact with other users
- May NOT use business name as their username
TWT Site Sponsor
The TWT Site Sponsors usergroup is made up of users that have products and services they wish to make known to the TWT community. These users are NOT part of the TWT staff and have no authority with respect to other users! They have paid for the privilege of having their own Sponsor subforum. This is the only forum section where they should be making posts related to their commercial interests. In all other forum sections, they should be posting as private individuals. If any other user sees activity by a Sponsor that they feel is inappropriate, they should contact the TWT site admin (Tourmeister) to report it. They have the same basic features and benefits as the normal Registered Users plus a few extras:
- May post a link to their website in their profile but NOT in their signature
- Max of 250 saved Private Messages, Max of 5 recipients per message
- Profile image size 300 x 300 at 100Kb
- May use the attachment feature in posts
Sponsor status in on a monthly term just like the Forum Supporter status. Members wishing to be Sponsors should go here and select the duration of sponsorship they wish to use.
There are some restrictions for Sponsors:
- Their avatar must NOT be related to their business
- ALL Business related posts must be confined to their Sponsor subforum
- Sponsors may NOT make unsolicited contact with other users
- May NOT use business name as their username
TWT Vendor
If a user wishes to post a thread in the TWT Vendor forum, they must first pay a $20 fee to become a TWT Vendor. This will then allow the user to post a single thread in the TWT Vendor forum. This must be done within 24 hours of payment. After 24 hours, the user reverts to a normal Registered User.
There are some restrictions for Vendors:
- Their avatar must NOT be related to their business
- ALL Business related posts must be confined to their vendor threads
- May NOT make unsolicited business related contact with other users
- May NOT use business name as their username
Inactive Users
This is a group for users that have asked to have their accounts suspended for whatever reasons. They are not banned. Their accounts are maintained so that at any time in the future, they can return to the site and pick up where they left off without having to create a new account. All features and benefits for these users have been removed. They cannot post or be contacted via the TWT site.
Deadmail Users
Users that forget to update their profile with a working email address will be moved to the Deadmail usergroup. A working email address is the only way we have to contact users. Periodically, we send out a newsletter to all of our members. This usually results in quite a few returned emails because of bad addresses. Our policy is to send a PM to the user letting them know about this situation. If we continue to get undeliverable errors, we will eventually move the user to the Deadmail group. These users cannot post anywhere. The intent is to get the attention of the user if/when they next log in to the site. There will also be message under their username on their profile stating that their email is not working. If you find yourself unable to post, it could be because you have been put into this usergroup. You should contact the TWT site admin (Tourmeister) to resolve the issue.
