Keeping my eye on this! I heard great stories from last year ?

I'll be riding my Ural and supporting Lee and Randy and possibly Michelle. I'll be carrying extra gas but just as important, cold water and snacks. It was a lot of fun last year and it shouldn't be any different this year.

Registration is now open, with the flyer/registration posted and attached to the first post above.

Should you enjoy vintage and/or small (especially small vintage) motorcycles but prefer to skip the endurance part of the event, Dennis needs volunteers to assist with the scheduled (and secret) check points. :rider:

Paging sKatZ, madagwane & SL350 & other small bike enthusiasts:

If 'n you plan to Tiddle and arrive at Boles Field 'round lunchtime on Friday the 19th, we can spend Friday afternoon exploring some unpaved roads searching out a good burger at one the country stores in the area.

Torn between this and a family event on the beach at North Padre May 20...

The potential candidates from our area include XR100 [plated], MB-5, CT90, TW200, XT225, Elite 250, a couple of vintage Vespas and a red 250cc scooter of uncertain origin. And perhaps a brand spanking new CRF250 Rally. :sun:

There a couple of BMW R25/R26's luring around East Texas that would enjoy a good Tiddle. ;-)

From the 2016 Tiddler:

" There are a couple of R25/R26s lurking around East Texas"
We plan to be there with the R26 and the Stella. Sounds like a great time!

Dennis promised a more challenging Tiddler for 2017, and delivered with more difficult routes to navigate incorporating more county oil top roads plus a good measure of county & NFS gravel roads. Threatening weather hampered participation this year, but we only encountered about 30 minutes of light rain during the morning leg of the ride. Here are a few pics from the 2017 Tiddler:

"Super Dave" took the trophy in Class III riding his vintage Vespa - complete with spare tire/wheel and oil can more readily visible from the other side:

David topped Class II on his modified MB5:

Restored Cushman's are a delight to the eyes:

One of the entry's in the experimental/homebuilt class - along with a Toddler -- no, a future Tiddler:

A blurry pic of the 2nd class setting out on the morning leg, with Roger in the middle on a 1950's NSU, followed by Randy on a CT70 graciously loaned by a fellow Tiddler when Randy's CT90 failed to cooperate:

Another blurry image - Michelle embarking on her 1st journey on a kick-start only motorcycle, a plated XR100 owned and maintained by our friends Jim & Phyllis from West Monroe, LA:

A big thanks to Barry for carrying the ice chest and spare fuel in the Ural sidecar rig - and also bringing coffee and Saturday breakfast snacks. Here he is with Michelle contemplating which way to go:

The route included some gravel roads along Toledo Bend in the Sabine National Forest:

The skill portion of the afternoon leg was a shooting gallery with a Red Ryder BB-Gun:

Tom taking aim at the target with J.R. carefully monitoring the action - unfortunately, Tom's R26 had flat tire later in the route and had to cross the finish line in the bed of a pick-up truck:

Jim & Phyllis also own & maintain this 1982 MB5, and let me ride the little 2-smoker in this year's Tiddler:

Garnering points from a reasonably lucky toss of the dice and couple bulls-eye's at the shooting gallery, we won not only the 1st class, but also the Tiddler Champ trophy, which is passed from winner-to-winner from year-to-year :sun::

Brad B. was on track to win the 2015 Tiddler on his Honda Urban Express scooter, until his engine imploded at the 160 mile mile mark. He has now commissioned a re-build of the little naked scooter and has already issued the challenge for the 2018 Tiddler competition:

We encourage all owners, riders and enthusiasts of small motorcycles & scooters to join us for The Tiddler to the Top at the 2017 Rich Mountain Rendezvous in Arkansas in September: http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114377
