I have lost my lust for motorcycle riding once again and I want to move my money to another interest. I have an 01 Honda VFR800 for sale. I have owned the bike for a year or so and have ridden it a few times in that year. I acquired the bike from a fellow TWTex member. Currently the bike has about 22k miles on it. It runs fantastic with no issues at all. The tires are in good shape with plenty of life left. There is no needed maintenance or repairs at this time. The front suspension has been updated with racetech internals and an Ohlins rear shock. An aftermarket slip on exhaust has been installed and it sounds throaty without being loud or obnoxious, I have the original as well. The bike also comes with Heli-bars, a Givi rear rack and top case and new grips installed, but they are not on the bike when the pics were taken. I have had zero issues with the bike and it is in almost pristine condition. I am in the Richmond/Sugar Land area. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or to shoot me an offer. I'm asking $3500. Thanks in advance for your interest, Evan.

I don't think that is the horrific stock seat. Is it a Sargent or Corbin?

Good eye, I forgot to mention it has a Corbin seat. I also have the solo pillion seat cover, but I don't think it works with the Givi rack.

Excellent example (my old one).

That generation does it all very well.

GLWS.

Ha, I did not realize this was Leeroy's bike at one time! I rode that bike years ago in Arkansas at one of the TWT rallies when he got a hankering to try my trusty old KLR 650 :-P It made me miss my 98 and 01 VFRs for a while. They were always great fun in the twisties. I had the Ohlins rear and Racetech front end as well. It made an amazing difference in how well the bike felt and handled. This one was setup almost identical to my 01 except I had the Sargent seat. They are great bikes!

Yep bike ready for a new owner. Pm me for my cell

Make an offer, low ballers entertained. Not really interested in motorcycle related trades, but guns/tools/race car related stuff maybe

Man, I wish you were closer. I'd be all over this and ask the Mrs for forgiveness after i brought it home. :( But just getting back in the saddle, I don't think I'm up to driving it from Sugar Land to North Dallas.

This bike eats miles like that as if it was a trip down to the local store! Go for it. It's a great bike.

Yup! I've made the same trip on mine when I bought it. It'll cruise happily and comfortably all day long. Don't let that stop you! Easy 3-4 hours of slab. Just wear a Camelbak.

Yup, be careful with that. I said similar about the Goldwing I just bought.

I have always loved the VFR's, and hopefully one day can get one (but not today, my above purchase wiped out my play money and my wife's patience with me).
