Not dying....? Or worse, surviving the fall because of your riding gear and having to wait forever for someone to be able to get to you :eek2:

Take it off and beat it with a hammer and put it back on for a picture. The rust stains in one area indicate to me it was laying out in the scrap pile after some initial damage.
 
If it could be fixed, these are the people who could do it. Probably would be cheaper to replace.

I'm with WW, how would yo do that?
