I was told there will be two days of vintage and other interesting activities today and tomorrow. Anyone going?
Sweet ride!It looks like they may be open Fridays again wooo!
I plan to be there this Friday 3/25 when they open. If anyone else can make it or has plans to be there come say hello.
Look for the 1993 XR 200 probably on its side in the sand somewhere. It’s a love hate thing with the River Track.
Holler before the next ride please. Maybe I'll have all my drs appt out of the way.Call before you haul! I forgot to confirm this morning and after driving up from Katy we were met with closed gates. They were prepping for an event tomorrow.
We made our best puppy dog eyes at the owner so he let us ride the GP track for a couple hours. Got all the riding I could stand and turned out to be a great day!
Ken and Mark started Old Dudes on Dirt bikes 2012 +/- for old like mined folks to organize dirt rides. Twtex is awesome but more geared towards dual sport and street imho. I have posted Three Palms / Rio rides here without any success. But I am glad you started another one. I have converted many a woods riders to like / love Three Palms and all it has to offer. The motto on ODOBD’s is the same as here on TWTEX - get alone, be kind, no drama, watch for one another, no rider left behind, SAFETY IN NUMBERS —Enjoy LifeThanks sandman, thought the old dude site had folded. I am an older rider who prefers riding weekdays. Life has gotten in the way lately but trying to get going again. I am very hesitant of MX tracks for many real reasons but open to play riding if not a crazy SX design track. Can't make tomorrows ride but the future is open.
I have seen your posts but honestly never knew your rides were of the old dudes type. Knowing this does make a difference. I will never be a MX type guy going round and round but at least there is usually someone around if needed. I have very often wondered what the heck I was doing 100 miles from home and deep in the woods alone. It does dampen the enthusiasm. Thanks.TS—- glad you got do do some riding. Place is awesome …. Even on slow bikes.
