We had a time finding a reasonable room for tonite.....
So we're in Boulder at a low rent motel.... But its ok for us

Hard hot day of riding today... Wasnt bad in the hills around Boulder & Lyons...but moving over to the I25 corridor & then US85 put us in the afternoon heat.
Our motel in Newcastle is pretty nice with $70 queen x2 rooms
Tomorro we hed to SD for some more scenery.... & pics

Dalhart construction is slated to last another year. I was just through there, and it was about a 15 minute ordeal is all.

Dumas is fine, Dalhart is a mess. I've been through 3 times this year - in fact, this past Thursday. Westbound has never been bad, but coming home, I've seen 30-minute waits getting through the light at the railroad bridge. I was lucky on Thursday and got through in under 10.

Rod, lovin' the trip and your pictures. I see you found all the cooler spots. I was just up there, taking my grandson to scout camp near Colorado Springs, and it was HOT HOT HOT.

Dalhart mess can be easily skirted with side streets if you'll plan it on Google maps. Bikes and cars, not trucks.

I hava ton of pics from the motorcycle museum in Sturgis.... But those really need a separate thread.

The roads up north in the Black Hills were much less crowded so we took advantage..... But didnt take pics
