Well, 340 windy miles today. A blast up I-45 to Centerville picking up Phil as I road thru Huntsville. Met Abby and crew at Woodys by chance (nature call and obligatory jerky purchase). Into Fairfield via US75 and into Sam’s. The lot looked like this.

Lots of folks and I’m guessing 60(?) or more bikes.
For those of you who may need proof that you actually ate green vegetables, feel free to copy my picture to your device to prove to others.

Another successful pie run. Great weather and great friends.

Made the ride alone. Left about 9:00am and ran FMs up the East side of I-45. After turning onto FM 811 I hit a buzzard pretty hard. No idea how fast I was going at impact as I was busy braking hard and swerving! It survived the hit, but after catching my breath I circled back and shot it in the head. It was flopping in the road. Some nice locals stopped to check on me when they saw me pulled over and the buzzard in the road. I’ve got a nasty big bruise on my left bicep. Other than that bit of misfortune, it was a superb day of riding!!

I believe this was my fifth pie run but Iv only been on twt a year. I was surprised to see so many show up but it was a great day to ride. Had to dodge about 25 wild hogs crossing the road NE of Fairfield about I:30 pm which I thought was odd considering the time of day.
Left the house at 9a and got home at 5:15 pm great ride and day for a 15th anniversary.

I gassed up in Venus for the ride down and on the return back I still had plenty gas so I rode all the way back to Cleburne before stopping for gas. 204 miles on the tank it took 3.7 gallons. only 55mpg the wind must of messed with it.
