Down through Texas highways and found and found the King Ranch headquarters. The guy said they closed the loop road about 20 years ago. Used to be able to drive right up to the main house. Just Google it.

I wanna see that tree @StromXTc on one of our rides. Yep, King Ranch is all tourism now. I went about 20 years ago and then last year. The only change of the tour is the tour guides perspective.

Found Texas a&i University ( it will always be that to me)
Sat down at the bench and had some warm water and peanut M&Ms
Rode around and took a bunch of pictures of the buildings and remembered that I had classes in just about all of them it seemed like. By 1991 the party was over and real life began.

yeah I told the kid at the gate that I don't think a free open-loop road would work anymore, with people throwing trash out and dead bodies etc. He was nice and said his dad went to a and I too. The visitors center for the tours was closed obviously but I wasn't concerned, been there done that.

I don't even remember this original theater being open back in 1990.
Looks like someone was trying to do something with it back in 2016

Thats it for the tour De kingsville . I used to call it killsville due to the murder rate even back in the day.
Just the place to send your kids, right.
Needed to get moving .it was getting hot under the dome. Went to Whataburger and almost thought the dining roomwas open the girl attending the parking lot that they think something is up because they are required to wear masks now so probably getting the staff ready opening the dining room soon. I know Corpus Christi is allowing 25% dining room capacity

Went to a truck stop out on 77 , made a pp, and grabbed a spicy v8 and boogied up the super slab to home. Was about 2.45pm getting home and the temp reached 98. About 160 estimated.

Me and southtex are going for a quick rip in the morning to Falcon State Park cause I can get in free with his pass . Need to burn up some more of those new factory tires on his new KTM 1090

It is at Thorndale Lumber but not that comfortable to me. Wife wants a rocking chair for b day. They want 150. Too pricey IMO

Thanks for the feedback. It looks nice but comfort is most important!
Let me know if you find a good one for your wife; I am in the market for one.

Funny I was just wandering around the yard just now thinking i need a couple of Arkansas days! 2-3 is all the time and funds I have but that would work! Hopefully it'll open up again soon.
Yes, SE Oklahoma might have to do for now.

Ark is calling! We usually stay at Byrds Adventure Center or Mulberry Mountain. Sometimes ride up to push Mountain and stay at Mountain home or in Clarksville All are open. Has anyone ridden up around Cloudy Ok? I went up there Sat for the 1st time. Was on the 1290 and the dirt roads are endless. Some beautiful views as well. Cabins to rent or some awesome primitive camping sites. Highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's all week.
