I hope Deb made it back - I lost her! I don't know what happened when I peeled off to take the SH Tollway (just can't stand the I45 traffic). Frank went straight, and I thought she was, too, but then she came over and rode up the ramp behind me, I thought. I lost her right after merging. I pulled over, but she never showed up?? Turn-around, change of direction??? Sorry!

Re: Galveston - Mar.04

Had a good time and enjoyed meeting some great people. Snoop let Squeaky know she got back ok.
P.S. Don't lend a bike to Squeaky. I swapped with her and next thing I know she's lighting up my rear tire.

She did make it home safely (she keeps her bike in our garage) at around 6:00. She doesn't have internet at home so she won't post until tomorrow.

You're going to ruin my reputation for being a calmer, gentler biker with stories like that!

Besides, it's not my fault your bike has twice as much horepower as I'm used to

:rider:

I had lot of fun today! Big thanks to Yogi for setting it up and creating the route, even if your GPS was under the weather. Sorry for those turn-arounds...

I'll take a look and see what kind of pics I got - the camera stayed holstered for most of the day since we had our very own ride photographer/videographer along in the high maintenance vehicle.

Ok, here's what I've got...

Squeaky, I'm sorry but each time I wanted to let you ride my bike you were to far ahead....:eek2:

Wish I'd checked posts..I was walking around the Strand when y'all were munching on lunch :( , heading home in the morning..will be back down here in a couple weeks, have a mate from OZ who will be in town for some Martial Arts training...he's a NAM Vet and longtime biker.

Aw man... would have loved to have you along for the ride, or at least join us for lunch. Were you on the bike or in a cage?

Nice to meet more new people down here. Very nice ride, great pace, nice scenery. I think I need a different bike.....anyone want a KLR?

Oops ...... I guess I should have talked to you guys before trying to follow. I have an EZ tag for the bike & started to follow you but then saw that you were taking Beltway West & thought I should be going East. Got all confused & took the next immediate exit. I called Erik & he said that 45 would probably be quicker so I did a u-turn & got back on 45. I obviously don't know my way around & lost my escorts.

It was great meeting new faces & riding new roads. :thumb: to C-Y for organizing the ride.

I can only offer you an even up trade right now

I have to sink some $$ into my house in Missouri before it will close. :(

Wait, so you're selling the Wee? :eek2:

How is that a selling point!?!?!?

If the price is right, there will be room in the stable for another new toy.

I was planning on riding the Wee to DS tonight, so if your there you can look it over and we can talk more then
FYI - I am not in a great rush to sell so the timing might be good for both of us.

I won't make it tonight. I am going to the gym after work, then home to grill up some shrimp. My girlfriend will be gone for the rest of the month after this week, so I want to spend some time with her.

Oh, forgot to mention on my way back after I broke off I saw a squid on the side of 59 so I stop and ask if he needs help. He lost his oil plug  Probably had 5K into the paint alone and can't get routine maint. covered. He said he was covered so I head home, clean up and notice on my bike the right foot peg is about to fall off (read above comment on routine maint). The C-clip holding the stud inplace fell out and it was about 1/4" from falling out.

At least your clutch lever stayed in place! ;-)
