Round the Bend? Time for a ride report yet?

Is this a chat session or a ride report? :duck: Yeah, yeah, I know I need to upload my pics and write it up, but let's get some stories posted here.

I was talking to one of the Brewster County Deputies and he told me how impressed he was with our TWT group this weekend.

"Not one motorcycle that wasn't street legal. Courteous riders who watched the speed limit. All around great group of riders!"

High praise and well earned.

Voni good thing there was no radar on River Road! :rider:

A few pictures from the ride, with the full ride report here. Due to lack of sleep going into it and mechanical mishaps, my first round the bend became the ride of solitude.:lol2:

RL CANON, glad to see you made it back safe!! I was the old grey haired phfart on the Ural in Rio Grand village getting gas when you were. You are quite the adventurer camping out in the middle of nowhere by yourself off of old ore road!!!!!  Hope your ride afterwards was a pleasant one!!!!! Hope we meet again!!!:rider: :rider:

Here are many pictures from the weekend. I was lucky enough to ride around the entire time with my friend Chris, and Robert and Carla Cay Krull. We had a great time, and it was nice to visit with so many other TWTexans. It would take me forever to put captions on each photo, so if anyone has questions or comments please let me know. :flip:

Does anyone know the story of David Hilton and his rock cabin?

Uncle would be the one to ask, he was explaining it to us when we stopped there, but I was busy taking pics and looking around.

Boy...that a fact! I got tired of eating dust, and decided to pass anything in front of me. Ended up being a ton of fun. God I love going fast in the dirt.
But,I was courteous passing the other riders. No roosting,no close encounters, just a friendly beep, beep, make sure they knew I was coming around, then I was gone.

I'd like to than Richard and Uncle for putting on a great ride, and I'm sorry I didn't get to meet either one of you.
But,most of all, I want to thank the eight or ten guys that helped me put the lift gate back in place on my motor home. Some how, just as we got there, the motor on that heavy sucker quit working, and it was in the down position when it quit. That thing must weigh at least 500 pounds, and it aint easy to get a good hold on.
Some of the guys that helped were Jim Griftner (Grifts Cycle),Stan Hines,Bill Pando,Norman DeLamar, and Jim Stovall. I can't remember who the other guys were.........but thanks a ton.
Oh, and getting the bikes in and out of that thing, now that was a hoot!
I don't do pictures.....way too much trouble and it clutters up my hard drive.

Since my final drive seal failed on the first day, I don't have very many riding photos. I did get a few good one's of Mollie (BMWbabe) though. This one is probably my favorite...

Here it is, Ed. Shame I didn't catch you all the way up!
