Taos, NM June 2010,
Every June, some friends and I meet up somewhere in the country. First it was Telluride, Colorado, then Erika Springs (twice), then Deadwood, South Dakota, followed by the Smokey Mountains, and now Taos, NM.
The object: meet, ride, goof off, eat, ride some more.
I have been there many times, but I still love the mountains of northern New Mexico.
This year, my friend Tim went with me.
A little duel sporting of FJRs and Kingpins was involved.
Not much of a story to tell, but here are some pictures from the week...
Out to the bridge
Gratuitous bike shot
In the woods
At the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire, NM
Some flora. No fauna found, which is probably a good thing.
Hiking in the canyon
Off-roading back from the canyon
On the John Dunn bridge
By the river (answering the question, "How did y'all get down here on those?)
Up in the mountains on NM 120, east from Black Lake
Near Holman on 518
In Canoncito
On the Rio Grande
At the Taos cemetery. Lots and lots of native Americans were veterans
On the way home
Sure wish the Super Ténéré would come to the US
