Thought I would share some pictures from the Labor Day fire. We were riding in the Ozarks when the fire started.

Here is a before/after pic of what was my 2011 BMW S1000RR

Stuff can be replaced, at least you are around to show us pictures. Sorry for your loss from that fire.

Those really show the intensity of the heat. Sorry for your loss. I hope insurance has been helpful at restarting your life.

The puddle is the wheel off the car

Wow! Beutiful bike before hand. So y'all were away on a ride and came home to discovery this? Not sure I understand what exactly happened.

As others said hope insurance is doing their part.

Actually, the Bastrop Complex fire totaled 34,068 acres and I believe the current count is 1770 homes and businesses. They didn't bother trying to count out buildings, etc... A week of my life I'd like back, but glad to serve my community.

Welcome TxFire... Now - head over to the Introductions section and do a proper one. :deal:

.

i feel your pain buddy, same here. thats what my zx12 looked like, well, guess there was a little more steel in it than that beemer. fork springs, axle and swingarm pivot bolts, gas tank, rear shock spring and about half of the motor. same with the xr650 except the steel frame was left also. would show pics but not much to show. my house and my bikes look just like yours. where were you? i'm in tahitian village, very western edge of the fire. if the fire had been 30 yards east i would've been fine. back yard and house burned, front yard and trees fine. i am rebuilding now. they're framing the house as i type this. insurance is a wonderful thing at times like this. i am so blessed.
