What a great time to ride! After the drought of 2011 we've been blessed with a Spring to remember. After an early start on Park Road 4, I passed through Kingsland on the way to Click and the scenic Sandy Creek area. With it's close proximity to Willow City, I was surprised that I didn't see a soul for hours!

Sandy creek was easily crossed unlike times in the past when the flow was much faster. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SvcFhqCEbw"]Watson Mountain, Click, Texas - YouTube[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSSi8G6rBuM"]Sandy Creek - YouTube[/ame]

I quickly crossed Highway 16 as it was very busy with traffic. Once I arrived in the Prarie Mountain/Loyal valley area, it was once again free of anyone save some other dualsporter's that I was lucky enough to happen upon. BamBam and his friends were attempting a particularly difficult crossing of Hickory Creek when I caught them. It seems some others before us didn't fare so well by the look of their skid marks!

After riding around the Castell area we met up at the Castell General Store for a break. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgI6dOfjZZg"]Llano river near Castell, Texas - YouTube[/ame]

Ended the day off of Highway 1900 near Mason on CR's that were unmarked on my map, but turned out to be awesome. I can't wait for the TAR to continue exploring these roads while the conditions are so good.

Hmmm? That would be me. :rider:

In the video when crossing you could see my front tire marks and scrapes in the concrete on your left. Yea the good scrapes. :zen:

The GS is heavy.

Same day, different time.

And a good day except for one crossing...Sorry MossRider, I didn't get a picture of my bike laying on its side in about the same spot.

Thanks for posting Will, looks beautiful. So when are you coming to Seattle to ride that CRF450 you bought for me? It's waiting for you!! Keep posting the pics, we really miss Texas, but are having fun here in Washington, but the weather is VERY different.. Hope all is well.

Hey Calvin, a slick crossing got me a couple weeks later near Click. My Vstrom almost slid off the edge! Hey Gary, we miss ya man, I would love to come up there and ride but that "work" thing keeps getting in the way.

Hey saikhan, I would love to ride down under, maybe someday-at least you and I have good taste in bikes, eh!

Great photos and video with awesome ride report!
I gotta make my way over there soon!
