Bought here on TWT as project has had extensive effort put into it. Bike is in Plano, TX.
Texas Title (bonded) in my name and are legal for street use. Should have had enough time expired so that when you place them in your name, the "bonded" portion should not be listed on the new title in your name, but that is between you and the State of Texas.
1978 Suzuki GS1000E - for the record, the title states it is a 1979, but I believe it is an error based on VIN and online research. I have checked with the state and this can be addressed, but I haven't bothered.
23,040 miles
4/6/2026 Price is $3800 now.
Here are some two comps from BaT. I believe mine is as good or possibly a better example and has better suspension components with the Ohlin shocks upgrade and the PO upgraded the front forks (0.90 springs). I have been blown away with the thumbs up I get when riding this bike. It gets a lot more positive attention than I would have imagined. Lots of fun to ride and it is LOUD, in a fun obnoxious way.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-suzuki-gs1000e/ sold for $4100 (before BaT fees)
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-suzuki-gs1000e-2/ sold for $5600 (before BaT fee)
Some of the work was done by Other Life Cycles when I was busy. https://www.otherlifecycles.com/
Bike has new battery, NOS OEM chain and sprockets, recent oil change w/filter, carb clean, tank clean out, new gasket for fuel level sender, new tach cable, new speedo cable (speedo reads a little high), Ohlin rear shocks with new springs for heavier weight (yellow stock Ohlins lighter springs included), fresh full service by https://www.cyclesuspension.net/ ,OEM NOS gas cap (not Chinese Knock off), new Vesrah pads for front brakes, fresh brake fluid, new stripe kit added and professionally buffed painted areas. Seat had a small rip near tank that was repaired with vinyl repair. Not great, but stopped any further damage and I prefer the original seat versus a recover. New tires added during restoration.
