Testing the waters to see if there is a path to get my butt back on an airhead. The GS is great, but want to get back to old school. I had a 71 R60/5 for many years, but was not keeping up with TX speed limits.

R1150GS has New Mitas tires. Good battery. It has 105k miles and counting. I commute 66 miles on her every dry day to work regardless of temperatures. Everything works except ABS which was kinda common for this gen, but brakes are fine otherwise. Jesse Hard Bags in great shape (No Keys), small pelican top case for wallet other keys etc. Brand new seat cover. Single seat no pax pillion.

Would like to get $3000 or as close as possible to be able to afford a comparably priced Airhead.

Just hope the tranny has already has been rebuilt and updated on any R90 or /6 bike in general. They tend to eat dogs off gears. You find them when you change the tranny fluid :-) Don't ask me how I know.

Thanks. Good to know. WIll definitely ask with any Airhead I get a chance to look at.

Check with Mike at Martindale Motorcycle Works. They worked on it. I just saw it on his Facebook page.

I really like the Blue one they have. I would have to sell the GS to begin with though.
