Bike has 42k miles & still in very good condition. Just had full dealer service done including timing chain checked, valves adjusted, FI tuned, all fluids changed, have receipt to show. Back tire has approx 500 miles, front has 50% tread left. Farkles include J&M audio/cb box, cruise control, throttle lock, bar risers, Cee Bailey windshield, timing retarder eliminator (not installed yet).

Oh My!!! Wish the bike were closer. I'm looking for a V-strom but am thinking 650 ABS. Do you know this bikes weight?

Lee... The 1000s are only appx 30-40 lbs heavier than the 650s . Nice on bigger roads or 2 up & loaded. Both bikes share the same frame & generally wheels..tanks...some fairing pieces...instrument pods..shields...etc. The 650 was a design spin off from the 1000 to save costs on tooling. They used some lower cost items on it compared to the 1000 to keep the price in line.
