Even with cold weather, this bike offers great protection! Grand Tour of Texas, Iron Butt? This bike will get you there reliably and comfortably. Price reduced and reflected in the first post

Great looking bike. I tell my girlfriend not to look at these (or Goldwings, K16s, etc). She is happy to ride pillion on my RS and I don’t want her getting ideas that she could be even more comfortable.

The reason I bought and am now selling this bike- I wanted to provide a more comfortable ride for my wife than the luggage box off the GSA. She prefers the view from our sidecar, so this one goes to another lucky rider

Refers to the three oil sumps/reservoirs on bike

1. engine,
2. primary case - (houses wet clutch and engine-to-trans drive-chain)
3. transmisssion

Ah! Thank you.

I did not know that.

I've only ridden a few Harley's during long rides with friends; Sportster, Springer, Softail (I think it was), a Buell, and a Road King.

I always wanted a Harley, but never got one.

Have they been talking? My girlfriend has been begging me to get a sidecar.

-Jeff
Once about 20 years ago, a friend who was a contributing editor for Rider Magazine, Clement Salvadori, brought over a bike with a fancy sidecar he was testing for an article. Another friends wife said "can I have a ride?" She'll never ask that again, as she returned with a look of terror in her eyes...

I wish that were the case. She’s been in two side cars and wants me to get one more than ever. Tying this back to Forth’s bike, it would look awesome with a factory HD sidecar painted to match.

Hmm, new one for me! Never even ridden a HD.

Go forth. Are you the original owner? If not how long you
owned it? Nice looking HD.

Not the original owner. I purchased from original owner who was a retired Denver moto officer in 2024.

Bought it in CO and rode home with zero drama. Most comfortable cross country trip on a bike I have ever experienced

So how much total oil are we talking about?

So how much total oil are we talking about?
my bike I followed the manual. Something like:
4 quarts of 20W-50 oil into the engine fill hole and 1 quart of 80W-90 transmission oil into the transmission fill hole
I used separate oil types for each hole- v-twin specific Mobil-1 for engine, primary gear oil for the primary and another for the transmission.

Purpose of stating is because the bike is cared for and ready to go. It’s been well maintained and the next owner just needs a desire to go wander.

Although, that is not where the original term comes from. LOL

Trust me. Approximately 150 innuendo jokes involving Vietnamese Massage Parlors instantly popped into my head.

I am actually proud of the incredible courage I summoned not to post them.

It's part of my 2025 Self-improvement Plan: Be less bawdy this year because my Daughter counsels me it is creepy when done by men approaching 60. 😇
