Sand+bigbike+70/30tires=hard

Trust me i ride a 800GS, understand that. But this water crossing looks hard packed, just curious. Always looking to learn.

I think I remember it was deep sand in pockets with water over it hiding what lurks below.

If you stay to the left, it's mostly solid rock bottom. If you go right it's deeper and sandy.

Thanks.

I just got back from a quick trip to J.C. And found a single BMW glove sitting on the cement by the new barn. Is anybody missing a single glove?

Brave rider jumping that Rallye, great job!

Yes, the ground almost shook upon its landing. You could hear the bodywork rattle but it took it. He had total control of it. Someone showed me a video freeze pic of its rear suspension being 100% compressed

This was great fun and quite the adventure. The dinner in junction was good too, lots showed up.

That's Jacob from San Antonio. He's a Rawhyde graduate, and is training for the GS Trophy. The things he does on that big bike are just nuts.

Thanks Michael for the memory jog. I declined the course because I wanted to ride the next day, not stuck nursing a broken limb or broken bike :lol2:

Great stuff as always, Keith. Thanks for posting.

Did anyone get a video of the Lano deep water crossing before Junction. It was exhilarating!

It is with a heavy heart that I must say Mary's mother Doris passed away last week. She passed at home surrounded by family. Some of you may have met here in Johnson City the night of the campout. I am sad to say that was the last time she was able to get back out to her wonderful property where she hosted hundreds of parties since the 1960's. She was so happy to see so many great people that night, thank you to everyone for making it a wonderful night for her to remember.

She was a true Texas lady and will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to have spent time with her.

Sorry for your loss Mike. It was cool that she got to see so many folks enjoying themselves on the property.
