2019 Harvest Classic Weekend in the Hill Country

Knocked out the Twisted Sisters and a few other fun roads today. Made it back in time to have some fun with Daniel and then watch the Astros lose...

Daniel showed remarkable restraint by not climbing this tree outside the Love Creek Orchard Cafe!

The hills are crawling with Spyders!! There is a rally in Kerrville. Getting stuck behind a longgg line of these is NOT fun!

I did not put it there...

Daniel discovered that if you crack the little green balls picked from the Cypress trees and throw them in the water, they make oil slicks real fast. Sometimes they float around like little boats, being propelled by the oil emissions!

We head to the Harvest Classic rally tomorrow.

Enjoyed the day out there, saw the TWT GS, never saw Scott. Ran into a few friends and got to visit a bit with Kevin Schawntz who was wandering around with his wife and dog. Day was so nice I spent more time riding than hanging out

I agree that this one was the best ever. Great weather. One note of warning for future campers, if you cross the creek and turn right, you will enter the ROWDY camping area. Laughter, talking and music until well past midnight. I stayed both nights just to listen to the conversations outside as I lay snugly in my tent. When I asked if I could ride my 4 wheeled contraption in the 100cc fun run, Russell said, "What could possibly go wrong." Nothing did and I had a blast. I saw and talked to riders that I haven't seen for years. The trials riding was unbelievable.

It was killing him. But, that water was moving FAST and that curve half way down looked iffy, even to him... He put his feet in and felt how hard the water was pulling on them! Had it been straight or a more gentle curve, he probably would have done it.

Sorry I missed it. Looks and sounds like it was a great time. There were about 5 things going on this weekend that conflicted with eachother. I picked TMGP endurance at Speedsportz and Moonlight Ramble bicycle ride saturday night. Hope it works out for next year to make the Harvest Classic again, its been a couple of years since I have had a chance to make the rally.
