David released a video today, of the stops for next year. There seems to be less repeats, although my favorite trash parking lot made the list again! :eek2:

Option B is cool...

Oh man, do I sign up to fail again? I keep thinking this will get me out riding more but life seems to still get in the way. I did worse this past year than the year before.
What to do, what to do?

I am sure David Canada would love it if you signed up, even if you got 0 stops.

The last time he made the actual list public, with the number of stops completed, over 40% had zero stops.
I'll bet the percentages stay roughly the same year to year.

On the other hand, I wonder how many people have gotten 50 stops every year since it started?

That would be much easier to determine, as he publishes the 50 stop finishers every year.

You would think so if you had all the data. I asked David a year or two ago and he told me he had never looked at it.

It was a lot more challenging for me to get all 50
before I retired.
I have no aspirations of getting all 50. I think it would just give us some places to go see and do. I'm honestly thinking that for the most part, we would just be looking at day trips out and back for most of them.

I have driven down 90 both ways between Sanderson and Marathon and never seen the little buckeys (Stop 26).
Seems it first showed up in April of '22, and disappeared a few weeks later.
It popped back up again In June of '23.
I tried to find it in '22, and not sure if I missed it because of bad fog or if it had already disappeared, and it was not there in April of '23 yet.
Hopefully it is there in April when I go by.

Here is a quick map I put together with just the city location of the stops, no address or info yet (I will be doing that later, as well as my .gpx file).
Just nice to have a visual of what the stop locations look like on a map.

Seems I may skip the panhandle this year...

If I was riding in 2025 I would bypass the stop in loving county . I ride to photograph the courthouse several years ago and that is one depressing county .

looking at the list of stops if you are in the i10, i45, i35 triangle you can easily get to a finisher status with day trips. Last year was my first year and I only took day trips for the most part, except two weekend trips ... but I made it to 37 I think, and this year there seems to be a bunch of stop east of i35

I missed getting all 50 one year do to my riding partner getting COVID. Other then that, I’ve gotten all 50 and plan to do it again in 2025.
