Would like to but working that weekend. I will ask for the time off, though. Such a great place to ride, and some really nice people to hang out with.

Sounds like a good excuse to burn some sick days.

I have over 30 sick days to burn. 🤮

Can you be sick of work in September? :sun:
I may be changing jobs, we'll see. May be retiring from the Sheriff's office and hiring on at the Constables, who only work 4 tens and off weekends and holidays. If that's the case...

Just an update: I filled out the job application for a Deputy Constable position in the county I live in. Should I be offered the position, I will retire from my current job and make the move. That means weekends and holidays off, no more working weekends and holidays as a Deputy Sheriff. Then I'll register for this event!

Not Dave, I hope you can give us an update on the spoke problems you had at the last Rich Mountain ride.
If not here perhaps you will start another thread.

Well if I have a bike by then I'll be there :-(
You don't HAVE to have a bike ;)

The problem seems to be poor finishing on the rim which causes to spoke to break at the contact point. On my 3rd wheel without issue so far, I think over 1,100 miles (I know, not much). If possible I'd like to ride up there, tent camp, then ride back but as of now the plan would be to trailer again. And tent camp. Plans may change.
