Sorry about the last minute notice. The weather is the best its been this year on Saturday so, were gonna do a little camp out on the San Gabriel river Sat night at my place. Nice big bonfire in the pit and watch the stars. I'll be grilling up burgers Sat night and breakfast burritos Sunday a.m. Just bring your beer. RO drinking water is available so no need to haul water. We have a full bath in the studio up near the house. You can easily access the site with a pickup, probably a car as well if you wish, or shuttle your gear down in the Mule limo. And its not much of an off road excursion on a bike.
Site pics coming. Will be cush camping for sure.
So far..

OK, it started out early Friday with me and the tractor improving a big hole and building a fire pit. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. I moved and set rocks way bigger than I should have attempted. Got about 60 percent of it done as the digging is really by hand, using the tractor as a wheelbarrow, and the tractor works well to carry the big rocks close to where I need to sort and position them.

Next GT Dude came out Saturday and set up camp. He really has bike packing down and can carry all his gear on a 390 KTM adventure. It takes a 1200 BMW for me to bring all I need, and then finding what I need among the bags is always a challenge. So, with a bunch of help from my dedicated wife we grilled up longhorn burgers Sat night then retired to the fire pit for some relaxation. You can see the wall of the fire pit portion I completed in the pic. I am extremely proud of it, as the design is working really well so far. I'll go back at it next week after some mowing and spraying and orchard pruning. Dang the workload goes up on old farmers this time of year.

Breakfast burritos with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, chorizo, potatoes eggs and cheese, and a healthier offset of cantaloupe, strawberries and pineapple, all of which I failed to get a picture, was quite tasty. Pic is Boulder Ed, Inlaw1, and GT Dude.
