DAL/FTW: 3rd Saturday Breakfast South of the Metroplex

Good group this morning. After a delicious breakfast, we rode 100-miles of scenic and curvy FM and County roads east of Ennis that I call The Blue Bonnet Loop. It was a beautiful morning to be out on a bike.

It’s 3SB time! I think we might try something different this month and do an early morning ride before breakfast. Maybe meet up with those who ride over from the west?

I'm thinking about doing a southern loop mix of FM and county roads. We could meet in the parking lot of the Longbranch Community Baptist Church with a 7 AM KSU. Let me know if I should watch for you.

So, funny thing happened. I was all planning on showing up, but then a friend contacted me and needed help on the north side of Dallas in the afternoon. Right after I talked to them I saw the NTARA ride happening on the north end of town so I switched gears and went to that.

Except, I had this 7AM KSU in my head, when that ride had an 8:30AM KSU. Sigh, I was SO early, and I really could have used that extra sleep.

Maybe next time, if the DORBA workday doesn't coincide again.
 
The forecast looks amazing for July's 3SB, so I am posting the reminder a bit earlier than normal. I have always wanted to check out the Roadside America Museum, in Hillsboro, so planning on a backroad ride there after breakfast. If we take the route that I have in mind, it'll be about 70 miles from Tio Tony's to the museum.

I'll be on a big dirt-bike looking thing..LOL!
 
Cool let’s meet at Tio Tony’s at 8 AM.

The girlfriend and I did a breakfast ride to R&K last Sunday and agree that it’s a good spot. But, we have others meeting at Tio Tony’s, so we’ll breakfast there for consistency, then get in the wind.

I’ll be on a sport-touring looking RS with the world’s largest top case ever installed.
