I love projects like this. Strip it down to bare bones and rebuild, replace, repaint/polish every piece until back together! Good luck.

one of the details that was revealed was the rear wheel.
it was missing the brake disc but also the hub had 6 bolts instead of 4.
figured out it was a DRZ400, but won't work on this bike. replaced with a spare wheel.

burned guard from missing end pipe. fabbed a stock size and oversize. using the oversize but not sure if the sound is much different.

whoever tore the top end off must have used a claw hammer to pry the jug off

an unholy marriage of dirt harness to a dual sport left control. this should meet the state inspection requirements of dual beam headlight and horn.

barely passed inspection as the horn doesnt like low-output AC. it's barely audible. but all other requirements were met and i got the paper.
already had started the paperwork to title and register it: apply for bonded title and buy the surety bond.
since the VIN is off-road only, it must pass a state inspection and i had to fill out a rebuilt form.
a pile of paper just for a bloody dirt bike.
