That day may be here sooner than later who knows?! But I'll either be SXS in the dirt or a Miata. No trike of any sort for me.Lord knows when we might have to move to 3 wheels

True, really haven't thought that, could bring my dog too. Excellent thought.I agree no trikes or Spyders for me either. But I would consider a sidecar on an adventure bike or a Ural 2wd. Still could ride gravel and FS roads.
Im not near that point yet but saw my fav yellow color Tenere with a side car and man i had the i wants. It was well made and looked tough.I agree no trikes or Spyders for me either. But I would consider a sidecar on an adventure bike or a Ural 2wd. Still could ride gravel and FS roads.
Those are on my list of only 2 bikes when the house is paid off in February. Grocery shopping, taking "stuff" and the dog caping are the reasons.Every time we go to Arkansas we see a Ural sidecar or two.
I understand your distaste for the long distance drives/rides just to escape. But at the same time I find it very therapeutic to be heading somewhere else. Illness and the pandemic has had us trapped for a few years now and I am just waiting for weather clearance to head for the hills. Right now I'm thinking CO or TN,,...,flip a coin when I get on the road. Zero planning! Those are on my list of only 2 bikes when the house is paid off in February. I've seen all I need to see in North America, tired of taking 3 or 4 days just to get somewhere new from Houston so weekend camping trips withing reasonable distances are in my future. (3 or 4 days on another bike would become 5 -7 days easily on a Ural even if it doesn't break down )
Enjoy it. Wait till you get old, things seem to change overnight72 a couple months ago and more comfortable on my dirty bike this year than I’ve been in years .
