At the Pioneer RV resort in Bandera
 
Drove into town to the OST, going for the diet platter😆. Glad the seat heater still works, a little nippy at 59 but nice sleep weather tonight.

Even Thanksgiving and Christmas came by to greet me before I left for home this afternoon

Hey guys- we're heading over this coming week. Bringing the 701.

I've been wanting to ride the Sisters for years and we finally have no real Thanksgiving obligations-so we're heading over.

If anyone might be for a ride to show a Louisiana guy some favorite roads-paved or gravel this coming Friday or Saturday let me know. Am leaving the wife at the RV while I'm out riding-so I'm thinking about a half day of riding

We're staying at a Harvest Host site, Lost Maple Winery, Friday and Saturday night on 187 just north of Vanderpool.

I saw this type of "service" at the "Tail of the Dragon" and got some pics of me on my BMW R80S in like 2005. Really cool. So happens I totaled the bike about 22 miles after the shots so was happy to get the photos (another story...but I walked/rode away.barely. Helps I was with 5 other friends).
 
We are moving from Austin to Blanco in a few months and I'm looking forward to being closer to these meetups!

Someone needs to pick up the torch. I don't think Sander is going to do many more of these ADV/Dual-Sport breakfast rides. I think the plan is for more off road riding. I'd still be up for a monthly meet-up for breakfast, followed by a dual-sport ride. I don't have the encyclopedic knowledge of the roads that Sander has. Hopefully someone will take lead on this.
 
I don't mind helping out. Little under the weather right now though.
