Greetings all.

Went through a pretty rough divorce a few years back and had to step away for a while to take care of things.

Starting to get back on my feet again and was, by some miracle of God, able to find a CRF300L Rally last Friday.

Already closing in on 400 miles and would love to hit some dirt roads soon now that I am comfortable on the bike.

Also have a project I could use some help with.

Traded a gun for a 2001 DRZ400E around 5 years ago and shortly after I got it the crank wiped the case out.

Have all new bearings, Hot Rods 470 big bore stroker kit, and the ACT wide ratio gears, Acerbis tank, and some other goodies that have been sitting for about 4 years.

Had to put things on hold. Considering piecing it back together for a trail bike or parting it out. The title was lost in the divorce so I would need a new frame and title if I want to ride it on the road again.

Also have a low hour 2008 CRF50 for sale if anyone is interested.

Look forward to meeting up with yall and hitting trails again soon.

Feels good to be back again!

Great looking bike!

I'd say a welcome back is in order, but since you joined this forum 7 years before I did that seams backwards.

Oh well, welcome back anyways :thumb:

Greetings from Chandler, AZ!

Well... Sun Lakes actually, but everyone knows where Chandler is and the city line is only 2 miles from the house. ;-)

I say put the projects up for sale and spend that time riding the Honda. Keep moving forward and put them in the past! Glad your back riding!

Congrats! I'm in a similar boat.... **** divorces. Enjoy the two wheeled therapy!

Welcome back.

Can you not get a new title if the original is lost?

P.S. I have experience rebuilding DR-Z motors, I have some blind bearing pullers in case you decide to replace all the case bearings while you are in there. DR-Z's are fun to rebuild. You'd definitely need a service manual as I let mine go with my next to last DR-Z.

Forgot how many parts I had for the DRZ

Appreciate the offer but at this point I think I'm going to part it out unless I find a good deal on another DRZ400

Have it all torn down, bagged and labelled.

Was really hoping to build the ultimate DRZ468 with those ACT wide ratio trans gears, and finish it off with a Rekluse but I think we could probably just use the money now and cut our losses.

If you have a good line on a frame with a title may change my mind.

Also need a good set of matched engine cases.

Bought two sets on eBay and both had evidence of wiped cranks.

A BIG West Texas Welcome (back) from our herd! :welcome:

On the divorce note: Old Chinese proverb says, "Good judgement comes from EXPERIENCE, and experience comes from BAD judgement!" :zen:

Welcome back. If you are out and about stop by my office in Brownsboro on Hwy 31 at Reynolds Premier Motors and grab a coffee and say hi.
