My Alaskan buddy Frostbit and his lovely wife ML are hosted my wife and for a week of Alaskan Adventure!
Frostbit came from Alaska to attended our 2012 B.U.T.T. ride. It was during this visit when Frostbit made a super generous offer to explore Alaska with him.
Our flight to Alaska, from Seattle went really well and this view from the window gave me butterflies in my stomach in anticipation of our great Adventure!
Our kind and generous host Frostbit had his trusty steeds waiting for us. My wife rode the nicely appointed WR 250 with a windshield and I rode the hopped up DRZ 400 which had a very stout motor indeed! The bikes were set up with luggage and wiring for electric vests too!
Our first encounter with Moose on our way to Hatcher Pass, not far from Frostbit's home.
We were blessed with incredible weather for the entire trip - the light fog and mist would wisp its way through the mountains and the sun was out often! Occasionally we encountered a light and brief rain, but comfortable riding gear that could be layered on demand, which was supplemented by electric vests handled all varieties of riding conditions.
I turned all Mountain Man and now wear a coon skin cap, quit personal grooming habits and keep a throwing axe close at hand.
Here are our wonderful hosts, Chuck, ML, and Frostbit who made our Alaska Adventure possible!
I can't thank them enough for their generosity and intimate knowledge of Alaska that made our trip so extraordinary!
Chuck kindly allowed us to ride his KTM 950 - its got tons of character, handles great and remarkably light for its size.
Seward Alaska Magic
After an awesome stay at a friends cabin, we were off to a very special place with very special authorized access!
