An appeal to pray for our leaders

Thank you Lord for protecting president Trump. Thank you for the unity, the strength and the hope that is coming from the attempt on his life. Thank you for "taking that which was meant for evil and using it for good". I pray that you will comfort and strengthen the families and friends of those who lost their life and those who were injured. I pray for healing for the injured. Lord help this nation to use this as an opportunity to examine ourselves and take a good long look in the mirror, to take a deep breath and reflect on what is important. Help us to evaluate and adjust our priorities to align with your word. I pray for your continued protection for president Trump as well as all our leaders and for the men and women who protect them. I pray that you will continue to bring hope and healing to this nation.... In Jesus name...Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Oh Father, we pray for peace. We pray our leaders would pursue peace. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.
We praise and worship our Prince of Peace. All glory be to Him.
Psalm 46:10
Let us “Be still, and know that He is God. He will be exalted among the nations, He will be exalted in the earth!”

Grace be upon you all,
Amen

I pray that Trump will start open his ears, hearing some of God's Word when he is President. God just kept him alive for some reason unbeknownst to us. Maybe that was enough to shake him up. Trump really should learn that it's not all about Donald, but about what God trusts Donald to do in life that is critical and needs to be pursued.

This thread is both a call to pray for our leaders and to share prayers raised up for our leaders, including elected officials at all levels, titans of industry, the military and the police. I would also suggest we pray for revival.

It is not another thread to share political views.

To that end, consider wisely what you pray, for your prayers go before the Almighty God, who judges all. He knows our motives. I have no connections, even remote, to our leaders, even at the state and local level. But I do know the Creator of the Universe, the One True God, maker of heaven and earth and He hears our prayers.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man[a] Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Tim 2:1-6

A prayer
Dear Father in heaven, may Your name be kept holy. May Your Kingdom come soon.
May Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-10).

First, we pray for all people of the world. May as many as possible put their hope and trust in Jesus. We pray for the leaders within the world. May they yield to Your authority no matter what they personally believe. May more and more people understand the absolute truth about Your love for them (John 3:16). For there is only one God and He has sent a great Mediator, His Son, Jesus, the Christ, to reconcile God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:1-5).

We pray for the leaders of our nation, that they would humble themselves, that even if they have not put their faith in You, that they would be humbled like Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 & 5. We pray that you would turn their hearts to lead in truth, goodness and righteousness.

We pray this in the Name of Jesus our Lord and Savior,
Amen
2 Chronicles 7:14

Thank you for this post. I stand with you in prayer for our leaders and the nation.

Lord God in Heaven, we lift this day up to you.
Daniel 2:20 Then Daniel praised the God of heaven. He said,

“Praise the name of God forever and ever,
for he has all wisdom and power.
21He controls the course of world events;
he removes kings and sets up other kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the scholars.
22He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light.
23thank and praise you, God of my ancestors,
for you have given me wisdom and strength.
You have told me what we asked of you
and revealed to us what the king demanded.”
++++++
Lord may you be high and lifted up in our conversations today, for you are our king and Lord, ruler overall. Lord, we confess that we have turned away from you -we kill unborn babies, we call evil good and good evil, we are divided. Lord, May your Holy Spirit turn men's hearts back to you, may there be great confession and repentance in our land. May those who know you be bold to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ who ultimately is the answer to our broken world, our broken nation, our broken people. Lord, we ask you to turn the hearts of those in leadership to good and away from evil, whether or not they know you. Lord, we know that you can turn the hearts and guide the hearts of evil men and evil kings. We ask you to be mighty in our nation. We ask that whoever is elected, that there would be more unity and less division as we go forward and that you would totally have your way with that leader and leaders that we elect today. Father, let us put on all of your armor so that we will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Lord we thank you and we praise you in the mighty name of your son Jesus Christ, who is and was and will be the Ruler, King and Lord of all. Amen

Thank You Lord!!! You heard our prayers and had mercy. Remind us and help us in the years to come to remember your mercy, your goodness and your faithfulness in this moment. Praise the name of The Lord God almighty!!!...Amen

Lord, I ask you to protect President Trump. Remind him daily of your purpose for him. Help him to be humble, strong and wise. Give him guidance and a clear path to follow. In Jesus name. Amen

Father God, we pray your name would be revered, we pray your kingdom's values would be those of President Trump and his cabinet nominees. We pray they would all humble themselves before You - that they would revere You, knowing that you are a God of compassion, mercy and enduring love, but you will not overlook sins of pride, hate, malice, and injustice. We pray you might grant them to wisdom of Solomon when he humbled himself and asked you for that over prestige, power and riches. Lord, we confess apart from Your wisdom, we have none. We are dismayed at the ease some when they abort their babies, when right is called wrong and wrong, right. We know and trust that You, the One True God, are eager to show compassion to a thousand generations, but will not let sin go unpunished, that "love" without justice is tolerance. We thank you for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus, on our behalf to show us compassion and love, but Jesus paid for our sins with His blood, for without the spilling of blood, there is no remission of sin.
Lord, we thank you for your mercy and grace to us as a nation, to us individually.
May Your name be glorified in us and through us,
Amen

Lord, we thank you for this season of thanksgiving.
We are thankful that the election results were much clearer this election. We pray for those that lost, that they might find their hope in you.
We are thankful for our nation, our freedoms, our country.
We pray for our leaders and the transition. We pray for a smooth transition and that people with wisdom and justice are appointed, confirmed and lead well.
To Your glory, Amen

From Adam until today, there is nothing new under the sun. The brokenness of the world ebbs and flows. May the God Almighty, our Heavenly Father guide those that rule over us and give them wisdom, a love for the truth, mercy and compassion and humility. You are our only hope, Lord God. Amen
This times 79!!!

Lord God in heaven, we call upon your mighty name. We pray that your will be done in our leaders and in those that they appoint, in the laws that they make, and Lord we pray for justice. We pray for mercy and pray for grace and we pray for the love of Jesus to prevail.
Amen

The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. Prov 21:1
Yes, LORD, your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Regardless of our leaders faith or lack thereof, You turn their heart as You will. We ask that our leaders would love mercy, and justice and to walk humbly before You.
To You be all glory and honor and power in the Name of your Son, Jesus, the Christ,
Amen

When I think and observe all of the tumultuous events in president Trump's life as a citizen and his time in politics, David in the Bible comes to mind. No, I'm not trying to make some exact comparison to the man who God claimed was a man after his own heart. However, I see parallels in the imperfection that is humanity in both of these men. Immorality, morality, and other traits and behaviors that both men struggled through. But when it came down to it, both men had a real and honest love for their nation. Both men were aggressively pursued by their enemies but overcame those challenges. And while I have no absolute insight into Trump's relationship with God, I hope and pray that he will lean on God's guidance and influence.

Often when talking to other Christians about Trump, them often referring to Trump in a negative way, I would remind them of King David and how he, like most of us, was an imperfect man. But God used David and loved David, and he used David to lead the nation. I've heard quite a few reports from people around Trump how the near assassination in Pennsylvania had an impact on him and his relationship with God. It would be understandable, and I hope that is true. Sometimes God does not move in the way we anticipate. I will continue to pray for Trump and our nation.

Lord God, Almighty, Ruler of All,
We lift up our nation to you, our leaders at all levels, our families.
God in Heaven, our nation has sinned against you, has done evil in your sight. Holy Spirit, convict us all, believer and non-believer of our sins.
Lord, please turn the hearts of men in leadership to humbleness, to faith, to hope and to love. Guide our leaders in doing what is right and just and good.
Oh Jesus, heal my family's strife now. Help me to see the truth, to speak the truth in love. Protect us from the evil spiritual warfare that seeks to split us and destroy your blessing of family.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen

2 Chronicles 7:14 for the nation.

I have been unemployed for 1.5 years.

Lord God in Heaven, hallowed be they name. .
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you and I (and our leaders and nation) the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of our hearts enlightened, that we may know what is the hope to which He has called us, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might 20 that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:15-22
Lord, I pray for those that are mourning their missing father and husband today. Please restrain the evil violence in our nation. Please help us be civil to one another, even those that do not know Jesus, but especially us that do know Jesus.
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the release of the remaining hostages.
Be MIGHTY LORD, we pray
Amen

Hallowed God, Ruler of the Universe.
Thanks be to you for we do have hope in You. You rule over all and that gives us hope.
Lord, we pray for softened hearts, hearts committed to obeying and worshiping you.
No matter the side of the aisle, we pray those in power would recognize who really rules the world, the Might One, The Creator of all.
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
We pray for humble hearts that would make good choices of rule and law in our country.
We pray that they would open their eyes and ears to you, fall to their knees before you and obey.
Lord, we know we have sinned against you in many ways.
Oh Lord, our Lord, apart from You, we have no hope.

Lord God in Heaven, blessed be Your Name.
You promised blessings on the peacemakers. We pray for peace, for minimal loss of life, for the peace of Jerusalem in this time of war.

Lord, may these words be upon the lips and hearts of all that rule both here, and across the earth.

Daniel 4:34 “After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever.

His rule is everlasting,
and his kingdom is eternal.
35 All the people of the earth
are nothing compared to him.
He does as he pleases
among the angels of heaven
and among the people of the earth.
No one can stop him or say to him,
‘What do you mean by doing these things?’

36 “When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored as head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before.

37 “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”

Lord, your Word in Revelation shows us the ultimate end of this world. In that, there will be true, eternal peace in the Prince of Peace.
Your Name be glorified,
Amen
