It's called the GOAT and is in Oklahoma. Looks really fun, and I'd take the 1290 and stay at the Casino. I could do during the week or on a weekend. I have GPS tracks.

That does look like fun! I don't know what April looks like for me, but I might give that a shot if I can get the time off. Might be a fun trip to do with my son on my GS.

I'd prefer to do it with a smaller group. I would do it in 2 days staying the night at the casino.

I wonder if any of that is part of the OAT (Oklahoma adventure Trail)? I've ridden on the southern part of that around Beaver's Bend and Smithville. Pretty nice down there.

I might be persuaded ...

I would prefer smaller, slower groups who prefer cool sheets, warm meals and hot showers as opposed to the alternative.
During the week works for me.

I am interested. I am in Houston, but I have a toy hauler, so we would stay are a campground, or any place that doesn't care if I run my generator if they don't have a campground. I need to run this by my "better half" but I am have been looking for something in April in the Ozarks so this is close.

I would think that you can either camp (tent) or hotel or lodge unless you have someone that would drive your rig to a camping place. My camping days are all but over. I need a bed and some decent food, maybe some wine.

As stated you can camp and there appears to be a hotel within 8 miles of the camp site, so you could also hotel it..

To be clear: You guys are talking about doing this ride some time other than April 18-19, correct?

YES, I want to do it in April while its still cool outside on the dates they have on the flyer. I just looked at their Facebook page and I dont see it posted in the EVENTS sections but there appears to be discussion about it. Here is the link:
