So excited to make this announcement!!

The BDSR 5th annual Ride & Gathering is scheduled for April 12th-13th. Here’s the awesome part… we’re taking the show on the road this year! Have you wanted to ride the Hill Country? This year’s gathering is designed purely around the Hill Country’s amazing beauty and awesome back roads. The Bluebonnets are unbelievable that time of year and the water crossings are full and flowing. This is a special opportunity to gather and explore one of the most beautiful areas of Texas.

We’ll have 3 different routes for you to ride or go explore on your own. Our routes take you down proven backroads to see the most rich history the Hill Country has to offer. German homesteads, schools, mills, and so much more. Tons of water crossings both slab and gravel. One of the roads is literally named “Slick Slab Road”! All roads are public and free to travel on a tagged motorcycle, big bike friendly, mix of dirt and pavement, deep sand in places.

Bikes with small tanks should take extra fuel. This would all so be a perfect time for beginners to experience their first group ride with low pressure and good roads. Not as much dirt/gravel as we like, but the scenery makes up for it. Come and ride what’s left before it’s all gone!

Like always, Saturday evening we will have dinner and give away some awesome prizes. You’re welcome to come in Friday evening and stay as long as you want. You will be responsible for your own camping fees (CASH ONLY), pay upon arrival at the campground headquarters.

The Oxford Ranch Campground, just south of Llano, is the perfect place to rally at. This private ranch offers a mix of primitive camping and developed RV sites, making it a solid choice for both tent campers and RVs. Oxford Ranch has onsite showers and bathrooms. Fees for the campground are as follows:

Full RV hook-up - $30 per night
Electric only site - $25 per night
Tent Camping - $10 per night/per person
Over Night Parking - $5 per night

Rescue and recovery trucks will be provided. We are planning on picking up BBQ for Saturday’s dinner, so we are asking everyone that wishes to eat to chip in $25 via PayPal ( bdsrtx@gmail.com ). Meal tickets and raffle tickets will be handed out upon arrival. Coolers will be provided if you’re riding in and want us to pick you up something for Saturday evening as well.

Mixing it up this year to see how everyone likes it. Fredericksburg is a wonderful place and well worth the drive. This invitation is open to all Adventurer/Dual sport riders, members of the BDSR or not. We’re excited to see you all! Until then, ride safe and adventure on!

That’s great! We’ll be there Friday as well. Are you on the BDSR group? If not please join for updates. I’ll be releasing an information post today or tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting y’all. We’re in Paluxy by the way, not far from you.

BDSR 5 went off without a hitch thanks to @Jacob Cain and his hard working crew. I particularly enjoyed Oxford Ranch Campground which is centrally located in prime riding areas. Very motorcycle friendly. There were probably 80+ riders in attendance, from dual sports to big ADV bikes.
From donuts for breakfast to tasty BBQ for dinner, Jake had everything covered including awesome swag and MC related door prizes.
I can’t wait for event 6 as it will be hard to top this one!

Unfortunately the area was quite dry with Sandy Creek but a trickle. Click and the Willow City Loop is always a treat!
