I stopped by the Brazos River Brisket House on the way home from down south today. I realized this would be a great place to “Ride to Eat”! This place is on 35 near the Brazos River just outside West Columbia. It is in a couple old buildings and is surrounded by huge Pecan trees. Most of the tables are outside under the trees. The BBQ was good but it’s the atmosphere that make this place worth a ride. So………get on your bad motor scooter and ride!!!

On one of my favorite routes. But is the road in a gravel pit?

I was worried about the parking lot when I decided to stop there but it was not bad at all and the Wing had not problem. Hard pack with some gravel. The parking lot is literally 100 feet or so off 35.

Maybe we can make this a TWT destination. I like to keep mom and pop businesses going. I forgot to mention that it's a little pricey but probably has to be considering the location.

Definitely gotta try that place! I bet that’s one where you have to show up early.

Looks like a cool place. Not sure there's a good way to get there from Cypress, however. Might have to make a day of it. What a shame...

Rode by yesterday as I was cruising down 35 to head towards 521. It's very close to the intersection of 35 and CR 25.

Here's one:
Take 99 south all the way to Sugarland where it ends at US69/59
Continue south on FM 762. It will open up to some fast sweepers.
At FM1462, take a left go about 1.1mi and turn right onto Cow Creek Rd (CR25)
That goes all the way down to Hwy35 and you will be on the opposite bank of the Brazos from the destination.

Yeah, it's that first part I don't like much. No toll tag on the bike.

Nevermind the location, consider the cost of beef right now.
I wanted a nice steak tonight, but was at the Gucci HEB (Central Market) and the prices were just obscene.
I'd pay those prices to support the mom and pop places and not the glut of Bowel Miller iffy BBQ all over the place.

Do you ride any of the roads that shoot off of CR 25? They probably don't go very far

Looks like a good destination. Thanks for sharing.
