I agree, he'd lose that battle if you're bike is legal and has all the correct items still on it. A smart cop could check for DOT tires I would think, ect.
 
Years ago there was a "ranger" named Jimmy who was truly a sicko gestapo type and would make up laws on the fly. To fight his tickets required a trip on a weekday to a Federal Judge in Lufkin. Never heard of anyone winning one of those battles.
